Essential for the website to function — session state, your cookie preference itself, and security tokens. Cannot be disabled. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Service Processors
Formspree processes form submissions (contact, reviews, sign-ups). Netlify hosts the site and runs its serverless functions. Anthropic (Claude) powers GDPRChat and the GDPR Audit tool, only when you actively use them. None of the three set tracking cookies. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).

Marketing Cookies (Google AdSense)
Google AdSense sets third-party advertising cookies (IDE, __gads, __gpi, test_cookie, NID) to show and measure ads. This is the only tracker on this site that requires opt-in consent, and it does not load until you allow the Marketing category. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Opt-in — off by default
What we actually load by default: Google Fonts (for the typefaces on this page) loads as soon as the page opens — that's a request to Google's CDN, not a cookie, but worth disclosing here too. Our hosting provider, Netlify, also injects a small performance-telemetry script (Netlify RUM, served from /.netlify/scripts/rum) that reports aggregate page-load timing to Netlify; it sets no cookies and does no cross-site tracking, but it is a third-party data flow and we disclose it as such. Google AdSense — the only marketing/advertising tracker on this site — does not run unless you explicitly allow the Marketing category in the cookie banner.
