Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the tools at gdprgard.eu — ContractGuard, ProposalForge, HRForge, BreachNotify, VATGuard, InvoiceExtract, and the GDPR Audit tool. By using any of these tools, you agree to the terms below.

1. What these tools are

GDPRGard provides AI-powered tools that generate drafts, checklists, and analysis to help European SMBs move faster on compliance-adjacent tasks: reviewing contracts, drafting HR documents, checking VAT obligations, extracting invoice data, and assessing GDPR readiness.

Every tool runs as a stateless web page. There are no user accounts, no logins, and nothing is saved between sessions unless you explicitly download a PDF or CSV yourself.

2. What these tools are not

For anything with real legal, financial, or regulatory consequences — signing a contract, submitting a breach notification, terminating an employee — have a qualified professional review the output before you act on it.

3. Accuracy of AI-generated output

These tools use a large language model to analyse and generate text. Like any AI system, outputs can be incomplete, miss context, or occasionally be wrong. We've designed the tools to flag risk and surface issues clearly, but we can't guarantee that every clause, every obligation, or every figure is caught or correctly stated.

You are responsible for reviewing any output before relying on it or sending it to a third party.

4. Your responsibilities

• Only upload documents and data you have the right to upload — don't submit someone else's confidential information without authorisation.
• Don't use these tools to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or circumvent legal obligations rather than meet them.
• Review AI-generated output before sending it externally, signing it, or submitting it to a regulator, court, or counterparty.

5. What happens to what you upload

Documents, text, and images you submit are sent to Anthropic's API for processing and are not stored by us afterward — we don't keep a database of your documents. Full detail on this is on the How This Works page, including the parts of our architecture that are intentionally minimal rather than enterprise-grade.

6. Availability

These tools are provided on a best-effort basis. We don't currently offer a service level agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee. If a tool is down or an API call fails, retry later or contact us — we don't have a status page yet, so direct contact is the fastest way to reach us if something's broken.

7. Pricing and expert services

The tools in the suite are free to try, with limited free use. Our paid services (GDPR audits, implementation and monitoring) are separate, arranged directly with us by email or the contact form, and are not part of using the free tools. They are compliance services, not legal, HR or accounting advice.

Some AI tools are free (GDPR Audit, Fine Risk Calculator, BreachNotify). ContractGuard, ProposalForge, HRForge, InvoiceExtract, VATGuard, the Privacy Policy Generator and the Compliance Checklist include one free use each after you confirm your email address; after that they run on prepaid credits: Starter (5 uses) for €9 and Standard (20 uses) for €29. One use is one document or analysis. Credits do not expire, are tied to your access code and are delivered by email after payment through Stripe. A generation that fails on our side is not charged. Keep your access code private: anyone who has it can use its credits. Refunds: you can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase by writing to hello@gdprgard.eu from the email you paid with. We refund the purchase if no credits from it have been used, or the value of the credits that remain unused in that pack. For any other problem with credits, write to the same address.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GDPRGard and its operator are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on AI-generated output, including but not limited to contractual, financial, or regulatory consequences. This doesn't limit liability for things that can't be excluded under EU consumer protection or GDPR law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the tools change. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the tools after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Croatia, EU, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence within the EU/EEA.

11. Compliance Packs, Membership and Digital Downloads

The Compliance Packs, the GDPRGard Membership (all 14 packs, billed monthly or yearly), the Compliance Field Kit, the GDPR Made Simple ebooks, the GDPR Templates toolkits and the Compliance Series books are digital downloads of templates, checklists and guides. They are educational starting points, not legal advice. They are for use within your own organisation: do not resell or redistribute them. Credits for the AI tools are covered in section 7.

Right to withdraw and 14-day money-back guarantee. You may cancel any purchase of these products, or your first membership payment, within 14 days of paying, without giving a reason. We then refund what you paid in full, even if you have already downloaded the files. To use this right, write to hello@gdprgard.eu from the email you paid with; you may use the model form below but you do not have to. We refund within 14 days of receiving your request, using the payment method you used. This is in addition to any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Membership. Membership renews every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, by writing to hello@gdprgard.eu or through the link in your receipt email, and you will not be charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Updates. We review the packs when an official source they cite changes in a way that affects them, and publish an updated edition as soon as we reasonably can. Members receive updated editions while their membership is active. Updates are practical guidance, not legal advice.

Model withdrawal form (optional). To GDPRGard, hello@gdprgard.eu: I give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following: [product name or Membership], ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Email used to pay: [email]. Date: [date].
